Buddies Story
Welcome to the Buddies family!
Hi, I’m Katrina! I own Buddies Dog Walking (est.2020) which is the legacy of my late Border Collie, Buddy. He was my best friend growing up. I had him from a puppy and we loved spending our time training agility, obedience and exploring long walks. I have many happy memories of jumping over hurdles in the garden, dancing in the kitchen and winning the fun agility at Burghley Horse Trials two years in a row.
At Buddies, we love building a bond with your dog and seeing them have a great time on walks with their own furriends.
With eight years professional dog walking experience, I’ve cared for many dogs of all types and backgrounds.
I’ve also have work experience at a cattery, Veterinary practice, The Blue Cross rescue Centre and a number of farms, resulting in experience working with the following animals:
Dogs, cats, rabbits, guineapigs, hamsters, fish, chickens, pigs, sheep, cows, horses, tortoise, bearded dragon and more!
About me
I love the countryside and feel at home in the great outdoors, no matter the weather. I have my own dog, Maia who is a 5yr old mix breed that I rescued from Romania. I also have a cat, Tilly who I rescued from the RSPCA.
I grew up in East Sussex, went to University in Nottingham and have ended up in the Vale of Belvoir where I feel quite at home. There’s pretty villages, wonderful walks and a great selection of dog friendly pubs… I just love it!
Always a lover of the outdoors and animals, I studied Agriculture at University, then spent five years working in various roles in the farming industry.
In 2018 I took a job as a dog walker in Rutland. After two years in this role, working in all sorts of weather and making many new four legged friends, I just knew that I’d found my calling and haven’t looked back since! I now live in the Vale of Belvoir and can’t wait to meet you and your pet(s).
